研究概要
仁科加速器研究センターは世界有数の重イオン加速器施設です。重イオンサイクロトロンにより国内で唯一ウランイオンの加速を行っており、電子加速器も稼働しています。当室は施設の周辺環境の放射線レベルを許容できる範囲に保ち、実験者等の放射線被ばくを合理的に可能な限り低く抑える安全管理を担当しています。そのために放射線管理システムや放射線検出装置など安全管理に関する研究開発も行っています。またラジオアイソトープ実験棟では放射性同位元素がさまざまな形態で取り扱われていますが、この安全管理も担当しています。
