Seeking a Research Scientist or Postdoctoral Researcher (25-2250)
Laboratory
Emergent Supramolecular Materials Research Team
RIKEN Center for Emergent Matter Science
(Laboratory head: Yong-Jin Pu)
Outline of Laboratory
We develop the organic/inorganic semiconductors and nanomaterials having unique electronic states. Especially fine synthesis of semiconductor nanoparticles (colloidal quantum dots), free control of their dimensional assembly, emergent photoelectronic properties, and application to optoelectronic devices are studied. We precisely control the energy levels, interstate transition rate, luminescence efficiency, spin multiplicity etc. by their dynamic and static molecular structure, shape/size, chemical composition, and assembly pattern, for creating innovative light– and energy–related technologies.
