Seeking a few Technical Staffs I or II (26-596)
Laboratory
Biophenomena Engineering RIKEN ECL Research Team
RIKEN Pioneering Research Institute
(RIKEN ECL Team Leader: Makoto Saito)
Outline of Laboratory
The Biophenomena Engineering RIKEN ECL Research Team aims to understand the diverse biological phenomena found in nature at the molecular level and to leverage these insights to engineer novel cellular functions, ultimately contributing to the development of next-generation therapeutics for hard-to-treat diseases. In recent years, we have focused on the mining and characterization of RNA-guided systems found in microorganisms, such as Fanzor and TIGR-Tas. Using molecular biological and biochemical approaches, we investigate their mechanisms of action and develop molecular tools for the precise control of DNA- and RNA-mediated biological processes.
