Research Summary
The Engineering Division is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure that supports the stable operation of SPring-8 and SACLA, as well as supporting the development of advanced experimental equipment and systems. The division's technical expertise spans a wide range of fields—including optics, mechanics, electricity, control systems, and software—ranging from established to cutting-edge technologies.

- Improvement of SACLA equipment (hardwere and software)
- Development of X-ray detectors used in SACLA beam lines
